I haven't written much or even shared much on this baby! I have done a ton of my own journaling and scrapbooking, but I mostly write on here to print out and put in my own journal! We were shocked yet completely excited about this little baby! A few days before I found out, I knew something was going on because I could not stay awake to save my life. I was soon tired and exhausted that I would sleep in, do some homework, go to work, come home sleep, wake up to make and eat dinner and go right back to sleep. Then repeat. SO TIRED. I mentioned it to my doctor at an appointment I had that I thought I could be pregnant. She laughed in my face. For those of you who didn't know, I had (have) endometriosis. Thankfully it was mild. But I was told over and over again that it would be hard to conceive. I never really thought too much of it as it wasn't something I was concerned about right now. I figured things would happen when they happen and thats it. Sooo, after my doctors appointment I had to go back the next day. Again I told her, I think I am pregnant. But it was too early to find out anyways. Once again she laughed and calmly told me that it wouldn't be possible from what she's seen before. Right after my appointment I go to the store to buy the early pregnancy tests. Turns out, I was pregnant. I called to let the doctor know that I was indeed pregnant. She was shocked. I instantly thought of what to do and how to tell Conrad because theres no way I could keep this secret from him. I end up buying a baby onsie and writing "Coming December 2017" on it. I tied it to some balloons that said "oh baby" and left it on the bed. I knew I would beat him home from work so I waited to hear his truck pull in, then I quickly set up the camera in the room, made him close his eyes and showed him the surprise. He didn't believe me lol. But it was true!! Right away I thought it was a boy. Wishful thinking probably, but I always felt like it was a boy.
Within a few days, I scheduled an appointment to remove/look at any scarring I had from endometriosis. I knew I had some because we had talked about it before. When I went in, there was absolutely no scarring that had to be removed. AMAZING. I thought for sure this was a miracle! When we figured out my due date, it ended up being 4 weeks after my master degree is completed. The timing could not have been better and the miracles kept coming. I was never sick and pretty much always felt great. Other than the exhaustion, I really couldn't tell I was pregnant. My doctors seemed pretty surprised when I said I felt great and that I had no symptoms. They thought for sure I would be sick as a dog. I thought it was another miracle. I don't know if I would have been able to go to work and finish the semester I was in while being sick. It really was another miracle! I told my parents and we waited to tell Conrad's for a few weeks as his mothers birthday was coming up and we thought it would be a cute "birthday gift." We waited to tell anyone else until atlas 8 weeks when we had our first ultrasound. TIME FLEW BY.
I was soon well into my second trimester and still feeling really great! Conrad and I both really wanted a boy, but because we both really wanted it, I was certain it was a girl. I told my mom from the beginning that I knew it was a boy. She also convinced me it was a girl by saying "No its a girl. Its not a boy." I had so many dreams that it was a girl, so I made up my mind that it was for sure a girl. We decided we would have the ultrasound tech put the gender in an envelope so that we could go home and open it with each other. However, that all changed when the ultrasound tech started looking at the baby. I could tell right away it was a boy....it was pretty obvious. I looked over at Con to see if we saw what I was seeing. He did. His eyes lit up but he stayed quiet and we just stared at each other. Was that really a boy we're seeing?! A BOY?! The ultrasound tech said, "well I think you can tell what the gender is..." and we all laughed as she confirmed it was indeed a boy. I was SO happy and so shocked. I wrapped my mind around the fact that it would be a girl and here I was receiving news it was a boy! We kept it a secret for a few weeks until we were able to tell both families. We had daily reunions within a week of each other. We did the first gender reveal with the Boyer fam up in Mackay with smoke bombs. I was surprised that most of his family was guessing we were having a boy. We did the gender reveal with my family with smoke bombs as well, but we were able to do the gender reveal with my older sister who is having her fourth! They are having a girl and she is two weeks ahead of me. This week I also was able to actually feel the baby move. It was all super fun and really cool!
We decided to announce the baby the week we found out the gender, which was the last week of June. We announced it with big balloons spelling BABY and posted the photos on July 1st. I wanted to wait until August to say anything, but I was starting to show and with my sister's wedding, it would have been obvious. After the gender reveals, time really flew by. My sister had her wedding the same week we announced the gender. We went to California for the reception, then came back to Idaho. I then went back to California to fly out to Virginia with my older sister, younger sister and my mom. We spent two weeks out there and then flew back to California. I then drove back up to Idaho with my younger sister. Before I knew it, I was 27 weeks pregnant and starting the last semester of my masters degree. Things have set in more and more as I go through baby clothes, shop for clothes as well as cribs, strollers and carseats. I hit 30 weeks last week and I could not believe how fast time has gone by! Conrad is in the middle of interviews and applying for CRNA schools and things have really hit us. I can feel the baby ALL the time and see him moving. My ribs have really felt how strong his legs are too haha. I notice he responds to Foxy sitting on me, but he has gotten use to it and so has Foxy. I think they'll like each other :) For the most part, this pregnancy has been nothing short of a miracle and I absolutely love it! I wouldn't change anything! I am so grateful that I get to be this baby's mom and Conrad gets to be the dad. (The BEST dad, I might add).
